Elbtal And The Westerwald

In the Elbtal commune we belong to are already quite a few tourist features. Besides two churches, the Marienstätter Hof is located in Dorchheim. In Elbgrund you can discover the castle Waldmannshausen, while the Westerwald with its beautiful nature offers many potential locations for hiking, biking trips or similar outdoor activities.

Limburg/Lahn

Left relatively unharmed by World War II, Limburgs medieval Old Town provides a unique atmosphere. The cathedral is definitly worth a visit und well-known even in other countries.

Weilburg/Lahn

The beautiful baroque town of residency Weilburg is another worthwile destination. Next to the town’s landmark, the palace, there is much to discover. For example, you might want to visit the Bergbau- und Stadtmuseum.

Further Tourist Attractions

Not far away from our hotel are medieval town and castle of Runkel, the castles Braunfels and Freienfels. The latter is well-known for its annual medieval games attracting people all across Europe.

Even the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mittelrheintal with all its castles, wine villages and medieval towns can be reached within an hour.
